Mission of the Function: Laboratory Technical Signatory as required by ISO 17025 and SANAS as well as supervising and guiding the Technical Assistant/s with the technical aspects of calibration work. Legal accountability for all calibration results verified and signed off.

Responsibilities:
Documenting laboratory procedures;
Quality Checks and Quality Assurance;
ISO 17025, SANAS and ILC;
Management and supervision of Lab employees;
Planning of calibrations and evaluation of results;
Method modification and/or development and validation of current or new methods;
Continuous improvement projects based on failures/corrective action;
Manage and run the ILC Program;
Equipment maintenance;
Reporting;

Qualifications - Minimum qualification:
• SANAS approved Technical Signatory
• Previous experience working in a SANAS accredited calibration laboratory with a proven track record of practical and theoretical experience.

• SANAS approved Technical Signatory
• Previous experience working in a SANAS accredited calibration laboratory with a proven track record of practical and theoretical experience.
• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering Light Current
• Professional registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa
• Certified and Registered as Metrologists by the National Laboratory Association

Must have and not negotiable: Calibration Lab Experience
