a. Job Description:
Receive and answer inbound support requests from customers via phone, email and ticketing system. Support telecommunication and access control customers remotely. Perform basic remote troubleshooting and resolve issues where possible on broadband Internet home gateways, telephone, VoIP, IPTV and access control equipment. Keep very accurate reports on fault details and resolution process. Respond to queries in a professional friendly and timely manner. Make appointments for technician site visits and provide timely feedback to customers. Good analytical thinking, accurate reporting and excellent people and communication skills essential.

c. Requirements:
Technical aptitude
Solid understanding of desktop computer operating systems, tablet and smart phone devices, Web browsers and email clients
Self-motivated, precision worker that takes pride in work
Effective telephone communication using questioning and attentive listening skills
Ability to effectively deal with job stress and irate customers, and build positive business relationship with clients.
Excellent telephonic etiquette
Matric certificate, drivers license and clear credit record

d. Advantageous:
i. Network related recent Networking qualification (N+, Duxbury Adv, or ICND1/CCENT)
ii. Experience supporting telecommunication services and/or equipment and operating systems
iii. Availability to work after hours standby
