General Duties and Responsibilities

• High Court litigation and litigation before the Registrar of Trade Marks
• Timeously execution client instructions
• Attend to research, trade mark searches and attending to office actions from CIPC
• Maintaining office files, preparing opinions, reports to clients
• Diarising matters
• Requirements

Skills and knowledge

• Good drafting skills
• Computer literate in Microsoft Word
• Fully conversant in English
• Excellent writing skills
• Ability to work under pressure while keeping calm
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, use initiative and be able to work on several matters at a time
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work accurately with attention to detail
• Excellent analytical skills
• Willingness to learn and become efficient and effective towards responsibility
• Problem solving abilities
• Very dedicated individual
• Strong administrative skills

Qualification and experience

• Applicants must hold a South African Senior Certificate
• Applicants must be in possession of an LLB degree
• Applicant must have served at least one year of articles of clerkship
• Applicant must have High Court Litigation experience
• Trademark and Copyright related experience will be an added advantage
• Applicants must be South African Citizens with a valid driver’s license and a vehicle
