Canteen Cashier Position:
Long Hours - 5 days a week - 2 days off

Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues
Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice or recommendations.
Operating scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics.
Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.
Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer.
Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints.
Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport.
Following all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, or the purchase of specific items, such as alcohol or cigarettes.
Maintaining a clean workspace.
Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions in daily shift briefings
Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage
Ensure storeroom requisitions are accurate
Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
Other duties as assigned
All kitchen staff must adhere to company performance, productivity, staff levels and discipline rules and regulations
Read, write of menus
To maintain proper opening, operating and closing procedures for your area of responsibility in the Kitchen.
This relates to the operating of equipment, from both the standards of safety, maintenance and security perspective.
To be punctual according to rostered/requested shifts at all times and able to work flexible shifts, as may be expected by operational requirements
This may include requests to work overtime, for which you will be compensated accordingly
To be neat and presentable at all times, in the correct uniform, and have a high standard of personal hygiene.
To maintain an excellent standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the hotel overall, and your area specifically.
This includes the carrying out of any cleaning duties that may be necessary at any given time, in order to maintain the standards required.
