The employer is a leading Car Rental Group and requires a qualified Mechanic with the ability to communicate well, work under immense pressure  and  to uphold the excellent reputation of the brand through above standard maintenance of the company

Minimum requirements pertaining to the position

• Matric / Code 08 unendorsed driver’s license / Motor Mechanic qualification
• At least two years experience in a workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Servicing of all vehicles / General maintenance of vehicles to SAVRALA and AARTO accepted standards.
• Signing off of all Jobcards completed / Quality control of work conducted by Repair Shop Assistants.
• General diagnostics ability of modern motor vehicles.
• Safe Work Procedures for bench grinder, trestle and trolley jack, 2 Post Rotary Hoist Operation, Pneumatic Wrench.
• Intimate knowledge of mechanics of the modern engine drivetrain, gearbox (manual and automatic), and braking systems.

Skills

• Acute awareness and ability to make cost effective technical decisions.
• Good time management skills
