Criteria for Case Manager

Objectives

Fulfill and handle case management and the associated administrative requirements and have an extremely high commitment to quality customer care and service.

Possess the willingness and ability to follow a high standard of administrative procedures and the ability to complete cases to the final steps with the necessary customer care and within the cost parameters.

Qualifications and Knowledge

Matric
Registered nurse
Previous case management experience of +- 5 years
Knowledge of supplier rates will be an advantage
Experience of handling invoicing, reconciliations and general office administration
Must have own transport and be prepared to travel locally/ internationally
Be prepared to work additional hours and be on standby on for 2 weekends per month or as and when required

Skills and Competencies

Quality of work must reflect Accuracy; Precision; Attention to detail and Verification
Excellent administrative skills
Excellent communication skills – in both English and Afrikaans and able to communicate with patients/ doctors/ specialists/ service providers etc
Good written skills in both English and Afrikaans

Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact as a team member

Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office and ability to acquire other skills as necessary
Ability to use own initiative and take responsibility where necessary and to work as part of a team
Smart and business-like appearance
Valid Driver’s license
24-hour availability when On Call
