Purpose statement
Receive and load cash management payments to clients and perform various related cash management administrative tasks, as well as office admin tasks from time to time

Reports to:
1st Level: Head of Compliance, Legal and Cash Management
2nd Level: Head of Operations

Subordinates:
None
Primary objective:
- Provide cash management support as well as general office support.
Duties
- People - Regular interaction with clients, relevant vendors, colleagues and management to ensure the effective delivery of requirements
- Processes Payments
- Receive and confirm payment documentation
- Follow up on outstanding payment requirements
- Confirm various client information telephonically
- Prepare daily payment batches for authorisation
- Confirm and send proof of payments to clients
- Keep record of all payments made or rejected
- Follow up on rejected payments
- Daily audit trail preparation and comparisons
- Monthly reporting for branches

New clients
- Receive and confirm relevant client documents for the opening of new accounts
- Ensure mandates are signed and complete
- Open new client account on Investec and Nedbank Corporate Saver
- Receive authorisation of new account from Head of Cash Management
- Contact client telephonically confirming opening of new account
- Keep record of all documentation and information received and accounts opened


General Cash Management administration:
- Request and collect outstanding FICA and other documentation from historical clients
- Ensure all FICA and documentation is received for new clients
- Collect and compare daily balances
- Maintain all current and new records
- General Admin - Manage printer requirements, e.g. order toner and submit readings
- Perform ad hoc administration tasks
Job Evaluation Criteria Formal Education
Minimum Grade 12 or other related tertiary qualification.

Experience:
This position requires at least 3 years’ working experience in a cash management related role. Experience in the financial services industry is an advantage.

- Clerical – intermediate administrative and clerical procedures such as word processing, managing files and records
- Technological: Ms Office
- Fluent in English (speak, read & write). Afrikaans will be an advantage.
