Attraction and Tourism industry is seeking a Cashier to join their team in Waterfront, Cape Town. The position of the Casher will be interacting with customers’ daily, processing payments, guiding and solving customer queries. The Cashier plays a critical role as the first point of contact in providing customers with a welcome experience.

This role requires good people skills, and the ability to communicate with multicultural groups of customers, coupled with a high level of job accuracy, honesty and ethical standards. As a team player, responsibilities will also include supporting with customer service agent and operator duties where required.

The Cashiers will have to work in shifts during the week and weekend (7 days a week, 365 open per year). Shifts may vary and can change from time to time. Morning shift 8:00 till 16:00 evening shift 15:30 till 23:00. It will be requested from time to time to work overtime and holidays.
The Cashier will be responsible for:

Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Mathematics and English
- Computer literate
- Previous cashier experience essential
- Previous experience in customer service industry
- Must have good command of English language
- Willing to work shift environment
- Willing and flexible to work extended hours and/or outside of normal working hours where required
- Strong customer services skills, must be client focussed and enjoy establishing good customer relations
- Trustworthy, with strong cash management work ethics
- Reliable and dependable
- Strong people communication skills, and possess the ability to handle diverse groups of people
- Be professional in appearance, well presented, neat and maintain a high level of personal hygiene
- Attention to detail, and demonstrate a high level of vigilance
- Team player, willing to stand in when required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to handle and control difficult situations
- Able to act quickly and calmly in an emergency

Salary: R6,500 CTC per month + overtime
