FUNCTION PURPOSE
To create and maintain structured data related to materials-, vendors- and service masters within a formal Cataloguing software system. Check and verify Master Data as catalogued by cataloguers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform and maintain master data cataloguing according to general cataloguing guidelines and standards (USC, eOTD, etc) and project specific requirements while maintaining the output and quality acceptance within specified quantities. Check and verify Master Data as catalogued by cataloguers and provide guidance and feedback to cataloguers ito the correct cataloguing of master data.

KEY EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

? A formal trade background in mechanical, electrical or instrumentation engineering would be desirable with some experience in heavy industry plant maintenance,
? A technical background, without formal technical training,
? Previous cataloguing experience required,
? Previous master data checking and verification will be desirable,
? An inventory environment background with at least 3 years’ experience,
? Excellent knowledge of ontology,
? Literate in the use of Microsoft Office programs.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
? Provide input to senior management in terms of training requirements and cataloguing progress,
? Provide input to the governance rules, processes and procedures for the cataloguing of material-, service- and vendor master items,
? Identify new and innovative cataloguing methodologies,
? Assist management with creating an environment of co-operation within projects and the company in general,
? Assist management in ensuring cost effective cataloguing
? Ensure project deliverable timescales are achieved,
? Provide guidance to cataloguers ito correct cataloguing of master data,
? Check and verify of catalogued master data.

? Must be able to focus on the task at hand,
? Good Time management,
? Willing to perform over and above requirement.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY
The following technical skills will be required:
? Basic Microsoft Office Suite and / or databases,
? Analytic Skills
? Must be able to identify item technical information,
? Must know how to search the Internet for item technical data
? Previous master data check & verification experience.

? Must be able to handle conflict situations,
? Experience in various Cataloguing Techniques,
? Understanding / knowledge of various data standards ie. eOTD, USC, OSD, etc.
? Understanding of USC/ NATO cataloguing concepts.
