Minimum requirement: National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain / Engineering / Finance. Non Negotiable: Minimum of 3 years Strategic Procurement experience at a Senior level dealing with Global Suppliers and Economies. Advantageous: Master’s degree in Business Management/Engineering/Supply Chain/Finance.
The Category Manager is responsible to execute strategic leadership and assist in development of sourcing strategies, ensuring that all sourcing strategies are successfully executed and fully implemented for relevant Packaging Material categories. The incumbent is responsible to participate in negotiations and assist in the conclusion of supplier contracts for material commodities, including strategy deployment, value engineering and stakeholder engagement. This position is responsible for Total cost of ownership (TCO) maximising value contribution.
