Catering Manager - Pretoria - Reporting to Operations ManagerScope of work: To manage and control the catering facility to the required standards within the agreed budgetary limits and to provide a service to the client’s specifications within the standards laid down by the company.Key areas of accountability:To ensure at all times that Company and Statutory regulations of the Occupational Health & Safety Act are adhered to.To ensure that the unit is operating to the agreed catering and budgetary standards.To ensure that the unit administration is completed accurately and handed in as per set deadlines.Efficient and effective utilization of staff.To organize and execute up market functions in accordance with client expectations and company standards.To take all the necessary steps to ensure maximum security of all areas and stock under Sodexo’s control.To report and take action where appropriate, on any complaints, accidents, theft, loss, damage, fire or unit food.To ensure that all staff receives adequate training.CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSIdeally have a minimum of three years experience in catering operations at management level.Must be computer literatePossession of the relevant qualifications will be advantageous.Qualified Chef - plated back groundMust preferably reside in PretoriaAble to work shifts of Friday and Saturday off, work every SundayGood Communication skillsExcellent Admin Skills (Client requires daily costings for next day’s meals)Good management skills Closing Date: 14 October 2014
