Duties and Responsibilities:

FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS/ACTIVITES:

1. Leadership & Operational Management:

Develop, implement and drive the company strategic plan which reflects the objectives and priorities of the Board and carries its support.
Create a unified corporate/company culture.
Develop an effective leadership
Ensure operating objectives and standards of performance are met and maintained by the workforce.

2. Materials Management:

Ensure that materials management processes are focussed on increasing quality and optimising cost.
Ensure that materials management processes are optimised to best serve the value-chain.

3. Production:

Ensure that production processes are such that they ensure the demands of the customer are met through quality workmanship in the most cost-effective manner.

4. Marketing & Sales:

Ensure that the marketing and sales strategy responds to market trends and demands.
Product brands are successfully created and introduced.
Sales targets and strategy are developed to maximise profits locally and in Africa.

Increase the sales of Service Agreements on both generators and UPS units

Create a marketing budget

5. Service:

Establish a highly-skilled, professional and sought-after centre of expertise on PDS products which responds to the requirements of the customer and enhances the PDS brand.

Ensure the efficient and profitable running of the service & repair departments.

6. People Management:

Ensure that all employees have well-defined roles which are linked to the strategic vision and objectives of the company and that they are empowered, motivated and competent to achieve agreed outcomes/targets.

7. Maintenance:

Ensure the efficient and profitable running of the maintenance department.
Ensure the growth of Service Level Agreements

8. Projects:

Appoint a suitable manage that will ensure:
a. Coordinated department
b. Department structures
c. Required profits
d. Suitable growth

Requirements:

Somebody with generator / UPS manufacture knowledge,
Manages 40 members of staff
Management qualification (MBA or the like)
SA Nationals only
