Purpose of Position:

The E-Commerce Business Development Manager must establish a viable e-commerce strategy and solution; including integration; implementation and management/delegation across all divisions in the organisation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate
• B.Com Logistics / Industrial Engineer / Marketing Diploma / SCOR Certificate.
• Advanced: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Minimum 10 years experience in Supply Chain industry or e-commerce industry.
• Experience with information systems, particularly integrative systems.
• Experience in retail and consumer electronics.
• Proven background in New Business Development.
• Good understanding and passion for e-commerce.
• Adapt B2C social media user.
• Knowledge and understanding of marketing through social media platform, Twitter; Facebook etc
• Valid C1 (Code 08) driver’s license and own vehicle
• Ability to work overtime and flexible hours when required.

Duties:

• Develop an e-commerce strategy including ByBox & Paks
• Ensure that the strategy are properly communicated and rolled out in all the business units.
• Create and maintain a list ‘funnel’ of qualified prospective clients within a defined ‘territory’ in order to achieve set targets.
• Target and secure clients that match to the ideal product profile, ideal client profile and in line with the company’s e-commerce strategy.
• Identify integrated service offerings, including people, IT and cross business units (products) to create breadth within the client’s supply chains and strategic relationships.
• Take accountability for co-ordinating the successful implementation of what was sold (SOP, SLA, KPIs and RFQ) to ensure sustainable on-going revenue but also be involved in (or guide) the solutions development of e-commerce solutions.
• Act as the executive sponsor for all the e-commerce projects.
• Inform the IT development and decisions with regards to platforms, technologies, etc.
• Maintain the strategic long-term relationship with the client to ensure ongoing satisfaction with the solution(s) provided and drives continuous improvement for duration of accountability.
• Review and identify opportunities new sales solutions and strategies based on market analysis and customer feedback.
• Engage with Senior Management of target clients thereby aligning services to their supply chains by means of a sale.
• Professionally compile and deliver proposal documents that is current, accurate and in line with company standards in order to secure new business.
• Professionally compile and deliver presentations that are current, accurate and in line with company standards in order to secure new business.
• Create, maintain and execute on a business plan that meets objectives in order to achieve company profitable growth targets. Develop strong relationships with potential customers.
• Build and establish an e-commerce body of knowledge and ensure that the business is aware of the latest trends, innovation and opportunities in e-commerce. Also understand and do research on the impact of e-commerce in terms of Africa Solutions.
• Develop a way to track the success of e-commerce services financially across all Business Units.
• The strategic deployment and activation of the ByBox solution.
• Strategic plan and growth on Paks.
