Job requirements:

You will be responsible for the running of a particular section of the kitchen, and to assist the Head Chef in the kitchen operation and ensure the company’s reputation for quality food is maintained at all times.

Key focus areas:
• Preparation and portioning food, monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Check the cleanliness and operation of all kitchen equipment as well as all areas before production runs. Need to comply with OHSA regulations
• Work and adhere to the First-In-First-Out principle
• Need to be a team player
• Review work procedures and operational problems

Candidate Requirements

• Grade 12 (essential)
• Formal chef qualification (essential)
• First Aid Level 1 (advantageous)
• At least 4 years’ experience as a CDP (Hot Kitchen & Pastry) 4or 5 Star
• Fluent in English
• Presentable and well spoken

Salary: R 6000-R 7500 p/m including benefits + accommodation and meals.
