Our client, an elite and upmarket Hotel and Wine Estate situated between Franschhoek and Paarl, requires Chef de Parties.
Duties & responsibilities:
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
• Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
• Strive to improve food preparation and presentations
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
Minimum requirements:
• Matric
• A Relevant tertiary education
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie
• Experience in a 4/5 star establishment
Salary on offer: Market-related salary on offer.
