Job description:

Responsible for the preparation of assigned dishes ensuring that the highest standards are followed in line with the property standards.
Assists the Head Chef, the Senior Sous Chefs and the Junior Sous Chefs in ensuring efficient kitchen operations, with focus on quality food, effective team work, cleanliness and hygiene.

Key responsibilities:
Preparation & portioning food, monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation & presentation

· Check the cleanliness & operation of all kitchen equipment as well as all areas before production runs. Need to comply with OHSA regulations
· Work & adhere to the First-In-First-Out principle
· Need to be a team player
· Review work procedures & operational problems

· Able to perform under pressure with a high sense of responsibility

· Constant endeavor to improve qualifications & skills through mentorship & training

Location: Cape Town, CBD

Salary: R 7000 -R 8500 p/m

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications:

At least 4 years experience as a CDP (Hot kitchen)
Formal qualification advantageous
Fluent in English
Presentable and well spoken
4/5 Star Experience essential (4-5 years experience)

Salary: R 7000 - R 8500 p/month + benefits.
