Chemical Engineer- Smelter
A metal refining and smelting company that specializes in recovery of precious metals that is fabricated into a variety of products is looking to hire a Chemical Engineer to focus on their Smelter unit for a fixed term contract based in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for chemical calculations for operational targets and develop process control data management systems. The candidate will be involved in production improvement and business process.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Must have a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in pyro metallurgical and hydrometallurgical process
Must have knowledge of thermochemistry and design charge
Must have Plant process knowledge including thermochemistry, metallurgical processes, sampling, plant processing and analysis.
Must have knowledge of development of process design packages
Must have knowledge of different materials processing including ease of processing and chemistry of materials
Must have SHERQ knowledge from project initiation to execution
