We need a Chemotherapy experienced Registered Nurse to join this Oncology Unit in a centrally located private hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect care to patients within the Oncology Unit.
• Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and service providers to ensure optimal patient care.
• Monitor or evaluate medical conditions of patients in collaboration with other healthcare professionals and report adverse events and abnormal blood results.
• Assist with follow up on treatment plans.
• Ensure all documentation (including chemotherapy charts, blood results, special investigation results and all medical correspondence) is filed on a daily basis.

Requirements:

• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse or related NQF level 5 qualification.
• A relevant Oncology post basic or related NQF level 7 qualification is preferred.
• Relevant experience in the nursing discipline and Oncology Nursing.
• Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation.
