The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and implementing the financial planning and strategy for the company’s requirements and direction.

Job Description
Responsible for the financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, cash management, regulatory compliance
Tax planning and directing cost control initiatives of the Company
Responsible for review and implementation of a robust internal control system in an IFRS environment and also for the establishment of mine purchase & accounting protocols and procedures.
Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies.
Required to work closely & constructively with other members of the Company’s management team including mine managers and consultants.
Day to day involvement with key mining project(s) from construction, commissioning and into full-scale production.
Develop internally compiled reports and metrics to provide useful information for management of the business.
Providing and directing procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records; afford adequate accounting and project controls; and facilitate accurate and timely preparation of financial statements
Communicate financial performance and trends to the Board of Directors, senior management, and staff throughout the year.
Direct activities such as custodian of funds, securities and assets of the organization.
Perform financial and tax due diligence, as needed.
Work with CEO and HR Director on financial management and oversight of employee benefit and compensation plans.
Required to utilise extensive experience in contributing to the creation and implementation of the overall corporate strategy.
Minimum Requirements
Relevant Degree In Finance
CA Preferred
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in increasingly responsible financial and accounting positions with at least the last 5 years in a senior capacity
Good overall experience of financial and tax regulations, statement preparation, financial modeling, cost controls, operational accounting, capital management
Experience in the mining or resource sectors is an added benefit.
