A top mining house based in the North West is seeking an experienced and qualified Chief Mine Surveyor to join their team of professionals. Applicants will be required to have a Government Mine Surveyor's Certificate of Competency and a tertiary qualification in surveying, mine surveying or mineral resource management (degree). Candidates will also need to be registered with PLATO as a Mine Surveyor or Professional Mine Surveyor. A postgraduate management qualification (e.g. MDP/PME) would be HIGHLY advantageous. The appointment will be for an individual with a total of 8 year's post-qualification experience in the mining environment of which 3 years should be in a supervisory / management role is essential. He/she will need to ensure the accurate surveying and reconciliation of all mining related operations as well as making sure the production surveys meet short term production planning needs to achieve the mine's targets.
