A large company based in Durban seeks a qualified Chief Operations Officer to oversee the planning and development of water services and infrastructure. Suitable candidates should hold a BSc or BTech in Civil (preferable) OR Mechanical OR Electrical OR Chemical Engineering, and a minimum of 10 years in engineering and/or project planning. Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng with ECSA will be an advantage. Sound knowledge of water industry and applicable legislation and proficiency with MS Office, MS Projects, GIS and CAD is essential.

Duties of the position include conceptualizing and planning of resources and infrastructure, ensuring maintenance is done according to schedule, ensuring organisational objectives are met, budget planning and cost control; and infrastructure assessment and contingency planning.
