Chief Technology Officer (Nairobi, Kenya)

Kenyan based technology start-up is looking for an entrepreneurial, ambitious, pioneering, dynamic, commercially minded, travel-loving Chief Technology Officer.

Reporting into the Group CEO, your role is to provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that align with strategy of the group and is responsible for all technology and systems across the business.

You will assure the successful execution of the company’s business mission through development and deployment of the company’s web/platform presence. This requires envisioning the company’s service offerings as a web-based business, leading development and implementation of web applications, and planning for risk and growth.

You will meet the following minimum requirements
• BSc Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems Management (Honors Degree preferred)
• A minimum of 10 years relevant experience with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity
• Strong knowledge of online strategy
• Solution/Systems architecture experience
• Ability to engage technically with highly qualified Software Development Managers and Team Leads
• Strong Skills in database management, web development, state of the art technology, UI, GUI Development, Back-Up Solutions, SEO
• Cloud Computing experience will be highly beneficial
• Young, flexible and dynamic personality who enjoys working in an engaging start-up environment
• Strong interpersonal skills

Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Travel: 50% (Valid Passport is essential)
