Job Purpose:
To cover the Africa Technology new technology innovative initiatives, coordinate the business strategy review and aligh to the Company Technology and Strategy.

Job Background :
This is a new Africa positions.
The job is required to ensure proper and senior level client relationship to support the client initiatives, business plan and business support, align the Africa technology initiatives, requirements to the global and regional Technology strategy. Support the Africa technology Cluster Head.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and design the Africa technology medium and long term strategy
• Work out the plan for the tactical solution alignment, conversion to a strategic solution
• Understanding technology industry trends, how they impact our future solutions and provide strategic direction
• Implement a proper communication model with the Africa Business partners as well as the regional Technology stake holders Project management team, technology sourcing, Technology, Service centre, Regional Data centre etc.
• To provide expertise to the business on any regional system related project or implementation including setting up new products and functionality on regional systems.
• Developing mutually beneficial working relationships with customers.
• Providing high-quality deliverables by facilitating personal and organizational effectiveness.
• Working together to develop a collaborative team atmosphere.

Person Specification
Knowledge/Experience:
• Ideally, currently working in a large financial institute preferable as a permanent staff
• International experience
• Knowledge of infrastructure, applications solutions, architecture
• Previous experience of project and implementation management is essential.
• People management experience.

Skills:
• Excellent knowledge of technology operating environments.
• Working knowledge of programming and development techniques.
• MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
• Controls and compliance knowledge
• Strong customer delivery focus
• Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server (any one of these)
• Project Management, Issue resolution, vendor management
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Leadership

Qualifications:

• Degree in a Computer science or financial discipline
• 4-6 years’ experience in a similar capacity
• Strong Understanding of application support methodologies and process.
• Demonstrable client management skills
