CI Engineer is required for a Food Manufacturing Plant based in Johannesburg North. Main Purpose of the job is to drive the lean culture deployment through development of associates competencies, by education, lean program co-ordination and support in project execution.. Support in the evaluation and developement of the systems and standards for RJH.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
To define/improve/maintain the Lean/C.I systems
To define/improve/maintain the Lean Competency System
To drive the Awareness/Competency building process through Lean Academy.
Organise Lean trainings. Train Associates
To support (coach, facilitate) the Lean projects in Supply and non-Supply functions
To lead significant improvement events
To seek/search new methods and opportunities for business improvement
Be a lean expert/ mentor and coach and be up to date in world lean trends
To teach and develop other associates with lean philosophy and tools
Become the recognised site expert in the most important continuous improvement and
lean-thinking tools and approaches
To co-operate with other (local, regional, central) Lean functions on building Lean
programs and sharing best practices and knowledge.
Be the local advisor, auditor, coach for Lean systems and FMOS
Contribute to the regional Lean community. Co-operate with central and local functions
Maintain and develop the Idea Management Program (Kaizen Program). Including projects evaluation, database development, etc.
Lean program results (no. of projects, trainings, quality, results, adherence to standards)
FMOS & Lean Audits result
Kaizen program results (adherence to standards, number and quality of projects)
Background Experience, Qualifications & Functional Competence Required
National Diploma in Production Management or Industrial Engineer or related qualification.
At least 3 years within supply.
Excellent Written and Spoken English
Communication Skills
Excellent Interpersonal skills
