SAP experience essential
A Leader in the Financial Services environment has an opening for a Chief Information Officer to lead the roll out of SAP over 11 business units.
The need exists for a Head of Department with a minimum of 8 - 10 years’ experience in a leadership role.  It is essential that the person worked across the SDLC on medium and large SAP programs.
 
Job Description & Responsibilities:

• Observe activities in all departments and at all layers of the organisation
• Management of resources to identify and develop new and alternative approaches to performing business activities effectively and efficiently
• Leading a team of managers responsible for development and support different application areas. Managing the portfolio to maintain schedule of estimated costs within planned scope
• Accountable for a Change Management methodology and process for continually driving necessary change in the organization
• Integrated delivery of IT applications and systems
• Involved in Business Unit Strategy Plan, including budgets aligned to group strategy
• Responsible for Standards, policies, and procedures for design, development, deployment and support of applications and systems
• Management of the portfolio to maintain schedule of estimated costs within planned scope, with the highest degree of customer/end-use satisfaction
• Defining needs, considering alternative sources, reviewing technological and economic feasibility, risk analysis and cost-benefit analysis, and developing and implementing solutions

Qualifications & Experience:

• BSc Computer Science or Information Systems or similar
• Master of Business Administration preferred
• 5+ years of experience as a Head of Department
• Extensive proven experience in the SAP and SAP Hana environment (Essential)
