This is permanent position based in Cape Town.
Salary - 30k-45k tct


Purpose of position:

Promote the sale of the Cisco products in South Africa by developing client relationships, increasing the skill level within the company staff and clients, and advising clients in the configuration and pricing of the solutions.


Key Responsibility Areas:

• Promote the sale of Cisco products effectively and efficiently to Company customers via personal visits, telephone and email contact, marketing and training events.
• Prospect for new customers and generate interest in Cisco products with clients currently not reselling from Company.
• Identify and develop underperforming customers.
• Work closely with the vendor on deals/tenders to ensure they are secured for Company and its resellers.
• Involve the Vendor and Sales in customer meetings, be tactful in the approach and follow through with at least 3 key action points per meeting.
• Work closely with resellers, understand their targets from the vendor and gain majority market share within their businesses.
• Provide first level technical advice on Cisco products and keep customers informed of new developments in product set.
• Professionally and efficiently manage customers engagement with a view to maximizing the client experience, This should be achieved through:
• Adhering to Continuous Product knowledge,
• Improvement (Ongoing training),
• Cross and up sell of unavailable product,
• Fast but accurate responses to email and telephonic quote requests, Skillful price negotiation.
• Reports on lost deals with reasons and pending deals (pipeline).
• Display accuracy regarding messages, quotes, orders and information given.
• Answer customer queries, offer product information.
• Consult with clients to establish the needs of their business.
• Ensure customer expectations are met (order taking and delivery.
• Increase overall customer satisfaction of new and existing customers’ base in order to be effective in solving challenges that arise, and need to be solved for the customers.
• Report weekly on all activities wins and losses.

Education and Experience

Matric/Grade 12
Tertiary qualification preferential
Minimum 2 years front line Cisco sales experience (essential)
