1. PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
The main purpose of this position is to take responsibility for implementing, maintaining, support, developing, security and designing of networks internally within the organization or externally between organizations.

2. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Qualifications ? Matric/Grade 12/equivalent qualification
? Relevant B-degree Completed
Experience ? Five (5) years relevant experience would be an advantage
Accreditations ? CCNA CCNP + Security ? JUNOS
Knowledge ? Extensive knowledge of BGP
Additional ? Travel from time to time

3. MAIN JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To design, develop and optimise new and existing LAN, WAN, WLAN and VOIP networks
2. To implement and maintain network security; and to support all related network devices
3. To ensure network availability during normal operations and disaster recovery
4. To monitor and troubleshoot network traffic and loading and network security
5. To report and assist service providers on faulty WAN links
6. To assist service providers and clients with new and current WAN links
7. Network health assessment and security audits (External and internal)
8. To assist with the procurement of network devices
9. To be available for afterhours support on network incidents “Standby”
10. To ensure strict compliance of Departmental and Company Policies, Procedures and SOP’s
11. To complete any other task or duty management may reasonably expect of you
