LILLYBEAN PLACEMENTS requires a Civil Engineer / Senior Technologist (Pavements) for an international Engineering & Project Management Consulting concern. The position will be based either in the PIETERMARITZBURG or UMHLANGA office.

Minimum qualifications, skills and experience

• BSc/ BEng/ BTech in Civil Engineering;
• Professional registration with ECSA as PrEng or PrTech is essential;
• 8 years’ experience in Pavement engineering;
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in engineering environment.

Main responsibilities

• Pavement condition assessment and authoring / interpretation of pavement materials investigation reports;
• Structural analysis of pavement structures;
• Recommendations of pavement maintenance and rehabilitation;
• Report compilation on pavement assessment and design;
• Preparation of technical pavement specifications for tender documentation;
• Technical support to construction teams to ensure successful implementation of pavement designs;
• Successful development and implementation of Road Asset Management Projects;
• Developing, managing and delivering positive outcomes of research and development initiatives.
