We are looking for an expert in the waste and tailings field with a good knowledge of mining infrastructure.

Ideal candidate:

• Must have a minimum of a B Sc. or B Eng. in Civil Engineering. A Masters Degree would be highly beneficial.
• Must be a professionally registered engineer (Pr Eng.) or close to registration.
• a minimum of 10+ years’ relevant experience in the Waste and Tailings fields
• experience with design, construction, surveillance and annual audits of mine residue deposits (MRD)
• Design and development of waste sites
• Damn design and Irrigation Schemes
• Landfill closure modelling
• Supervision experience of Pollution Control Dams (PCD’s) and Waste Containment Facilities (hazardous and general)
• Coal mine water balance
• Must have a good working knowledge of miming infrastructure and infrastructure inspection of coal mines
• Good presentation and public speaking skills
• Must be competent in MS Office
• A valid driver’s licence is essential.
• Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team,
• Must be prepared to work in the field and travel
• Must be able to supply traceable and contactable references
