The Civil Engineer must be able to delegate work effectively to the team in the Civil Engineering Department, and lead and supervise a team in order to achieve business objectives in all circumstances

Your key job responsibilities as the Civil Engineer in Centurion will include:

-Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management
-Mentor and manage Resident Engineers
-Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates
-Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests
-Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements
-Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems
-Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions
-Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
-Ensure that all employees are supplied with the relevant tools required to perform jobs
-Formulate systems for smooth running of the Civil Engineering section to enable synergy and coherence

Requirements for this Civil Engineer job in Centurion:

-Good working knowledge on general civil engineering design principles in the fields of earthworks, basic roads, drainage, water and geotechnical aspects
-Good working knowledge on designing, tendering, specifications and construction implications
-Understanding and illustration knowledge on the project lifecycle (Design-construct-close out), with specific reference to design
-Understanding of the importance and use of document control and ISO systems within a design environment
-Must be able to travel occasionally – intercontinentally and internationally
