CLAIMS MANAGER - Short Term Insurance

Permanent, full time position
Areas: Centurion, Gauteng
Salary: Negotiable – market related

Previous Short Term Insurance Experience Essential! Personal lines, Motor and non-motor.
100% Afrikaans (read write and speak) and English
Clean ITC and criminal record – checks will be done.
Driver licence and own transport.

Must have proof of FAIS and RE qualification.
Must be registered at the FSB (Financial Service Board).
Must be able to work independently and handle the entire process independently.
9. Handling and settlement of claims that amounts to more than R 150 000.00, which entails the entire claims process from initial registration through to finalisation of personal lines claims.
10. Authorise claims that does not fall in the staff mandate.
11. Liasing with clients and brokers.
12. Motivate client and Broker relationships.
13. Reduce the sections’ Loss Ratio.
14. Responsible for audits when required
15. Motivated and retained staff
• Performance management of staff
• Monitor equal distribution of files
• Analyse training needs
• Handle staff related queries/conflicts/suggestions
• Monitor leave and telephone usage
16. Work processes/procedures
• Monitor and regulate productivity
• Provide policy wording interpretation
• Check and agree or decline claims – under R 50 000
• Handle claims related queries
• Monitor SLA’s & reduce loss ratios
• Authorise payments
