You will be responsible to ensure that claims are processed in a timeous, profitable, compliant and efficient manner and furthermore to ensure that high quality service is provided to clients, insurers, service providers and third parties.

Miminum Requirements:

• Matric
• Regulatory Examination Level 1 (RE5)
• Nqf 4 Short Term Insurance Qualification or suitable alternative as recognised by Financial Services Board (Minimum Compliant for both personal and commercial lines)
• Minimum of five years working experience in the short term insurance industry on a management level
• Minimum of five years working experience in both personal and commercial lines cliams processing.

Duties:

• Manage and report on the Claims Processing department’s key performance indicators 
• Identify areas of concern and implement suitable corrective measures 
• Manage, support, coach and develop the Team Leaders and Claims Consultants, which will include performance management, staff engagement and motivation, talent management and succession planning 
• Communicate and interact effectively with staff (which will include the chairing and facilitation of staff meetings) 
• Ensure compliance with procedures, policies and service level agreements 
• Assist in determining goals and service levels of the various teams and ensure that such levels are maintained 
• Drive process, system enhancements to improve efficiency and participate in ad-hoc projects 
• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, which will include internal support services, clients, brokers, insurers and external service providers 
• Identify and investigate variances. Determine and implement suitable corrective measures.
• Manage the department’s costs against the approved budget
