We are currently recruiting for our client in leading Group involved Mining , Oil and GAS ,Logistics in AFRICA is looking for
VACANCY –CLEARING AND FORWADING Manager – SOUTH AFRICA
Overall Purpose of the Job
• Establish and run a robust C & F function for the Company in South Africa and in all regions where the Group operates.
Accountability & Responsibility Areas.
• Handle all development and operational activities of the Group clearing & forwarding business in Southern Africa
Responsible for establishing the unit and ensuring its productivity, growth and commercial goals are realised,
• To plan and develop the systems and procedures to improve the operations quality and efficiency of the Southern Africa division, in addition to ensuring the same is adhered to.
• Manage and Control the forwarding/receipt of inbound and outbound cargo's documentation
• Liaise and negotiate with statutory bodies to ensure effective finalization of the documentation processes.
• Clearing documentation for road freight ,
• Prepare and send management Reports,
• Drive and manage profitable and consistent commercial retention, new business development and growth initiatives, while enhancing customer experience.
• Supervises loading/offloading of trucks,
• Maintain client satisfaction through cooperation with allied disciplines (entries, invoicing, customs),
• Ensure communication to client is effective and efficient
Knowledge & Skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or logistics. An MBA will be an added advantage
• Working experience within the Logistics, Supply Chain and Clearing & Forwarding Industry,
• Strong knowledge of Customs Clearing & overall Clearing & Forwarding processes in Southern Africa
• Fully computer literate, aptitude for technology and systems driven,
• Excellent communicator (written and verbal) on all levels.
