Position details:

CEMs take ultimate responsibility for the realisation of revenue targets. They drive the clients’ Energy Programme by acting as the Prime Coordinator between clients and technical resources. Specific responsibilities include:

Develop Client relationships: Set and execute a client relationship strategy that defines which issues to focus on, which opportunities to pursue, and which individuals to invest in. Your clients will perceive you as the go to person to consult on energy issues.
Energy Programme Management: Facilitate the development of a vision for the clients energy programme and then ensure that it is met. Manage multiple projects/streams at a particular client, including identifying new projects, gaining approval, overseeing delivery and ensuring sustainability.
Commercial Management and Quality Control: Successfully undertakes contract and other commercial negotiations with clients and ensures overall profitability of the account.
Account Planning: Develop forecasts for future demand for services from clients to aid with operational

Job Qualification & Experience:
You have successfully acted in a commercial role, with success being defined as satisfying external customers while simultaneously realising revenue targets or staying within budgets.
You combine both technical and financial skills, evidenced being your demonstrated ability to construct and pressure test business cases for projects.
After satisfying yourself of the value on offer, you enjoy the challenge of persuading both technical (e.g. engineers) and financial (e.g. CFOs) decision makers of the value the latter in suitable metrics such as IRR and NPV.
After closing the deal you have further demonstrated your significant persuasion skills that you utilise to align expectations and galvanise resources of all relevant parties that are required to reach your goals.
You may have enjoyed the constant flux of the environments you have worked in and colleagues have potentially commented and thanked you for your adaptability.
You have dealt with isolated situations where you did not receive adequate support from team members for whatever reasons. In these times you chose to simply lead by example and rolled up your sleeves to get involved. While you realise that this may not be sustainable the alternative, to shift goal posts or miss targets, is not ever an option for you.
You have experienced clients which placed unreasonable demands on you or your team. In such cases you have acted decisively to shield yourself and your team from such demands, in a manner which built your reputation as a leader and colleague that can be trusted to protect the interests of your team.
