Only individuals who meet with all the below minimum requirements will be considered for this position due to the high level of customer service required within this role.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric and an IT qualification would be advantageous
• A min. of 1 - 3 years working experience within a similar role or environment ( i.e. Client Relations )
• Knowledge of Dell, HP and Lenovo products
• Be fully computer literate
• Strong product knowledge in hardware, software, peripherals and enterprise products such as servers, storage, virtualisation etc.
• Able to communicate effectively in English & Afrikaans ( verbal & written )
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise
• Thrive in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
• Great attention to detail and the ability to problem solve is an absolute must
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• Be a pro-active team player

Key Performance Areas:

• Answer customer enquiries and escalate to relevant person/department where required
• Manage the complete service process from sale through to delivery while constantly keeping the client informed
• Present and manage complete “ownership” within client query/solution recommendation
• Take client orders/sell products when required or when the opportunity arise
• Assist customers with private sales
• Liaise with various IT suppliers to check stock availability and best pricing
• Liaise with OEM’s (Dell, etc) regarding queries (credits, incorrect orders, etc) and assist is solving any issues
• Liaise with clients via email on a daily basis of advising expected date of arrival on their order
• Follow up with various suppliers on backorders on a daily basis, advise clients of any changes in ETA’s (and offer alternatives)
• Accurately capture customer information and save in relevant database
• Communicate in a professional manner via email / telephone /face-to-face
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers, including weekly / monthly client relationship building visits
• Build on and improve basic knowledge of IT Equipment
• Ensure that technicians repair faulty products asap and keep clients updated telephonically and via email
• Attend weekly and monthly meetings with public and private sector clients to discuss stock holding, expectations, roll outs, etc
• Ensure that stock levels are replenished on a weekly/monthly basis (or as required)
• Report to Operations Manager weekly to ensure stock levels managed correctly to avoid redundant stock
• Government and Tertiary Institute Tender Responses
• Self paced, online training for certifications that enable the company to sell certain products
• Work within team environment and ensure all work is covered and completed by team member (partner) when direct manager is out at
clients or unable to cover mailbox
• Liaise with purchasing team to ensure all client orders processed correctly using stipulated ordering template
• Weekly stock reports for clients and monthly asset/purchase reports for certain clients
