ICU Trained Clinical Facilitator sought for one of our top clients in JHB North.

As the ICU Trained Clinical Facilitator, your key focus will be identifying knowledge and skills gaps within the unit at an early stage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitation of teaching and learning of the theoretical and clinical component in a clinical environment to reinforce the learning process as well as the integration of theory and practice to reinforce the learning process.
• Assess each staff member’s competencies according to C2/C3 workbook guidelines.
• Maintain records of students and staff and other records associated with the clinical practice.
• Promote a reflective-based nursing practice especially in post-clinical debriefing sessions.
• Conduct clinical ward teaching rounds.
• Provide up-to-date nursing education, evaluation and support to students in the clinical hospital ward environment.
• Establishing partnerships between the hospital clinical teams and education teams to ensure continuous development and improvement of theoretical and clinical nursing skills, nursing standards and general nursing care.

Applicants for this position must be:

• Registered with SANC
• Have a Diploma in Critical Care Nursing.
• Diploma in Trauma & Emergency Nursing highly advantageous, but not a prerequisite
• Solid background experience within a Trauma unit
