This centrally located luxury Retirement Care Centre is seeking a Clinical Facilitator with passion for teaching & experience in geriatric nursing
Facility consists of 3 wards -Subacute ward of 16 beds for physical rehabilitation after surgery or strokes, 20 bedded frail care and a 35 bedded Dementia wing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, teach & supervise 60 nursing staff on various shifts – with procedures ranging from bed bathing for carers to admissions, vital signs, medication, wound dressing and dementia care for ENs & RNs
• Evaluate policies & procedures & make recommendations
• Evaluate best practice & staff performance
• Quality control
• Identify areas of improvement & Training staff where required
• Office hours post 7-4 but may need to work an occasional 7-7 to do assessments for all staff as well as 4-night shifts a month to assess night duty staff

Requirements:

• Current registration with SANC as a Registered Nurse
• A nursing education diploma is not essential but advantageous
• Must have Aged Care experience -specifically frail care & dementia care to assist staff with training in this regard
