KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
· Advance clinical knowledge within a medical scheme setup

· Knowledge of advanced clerical, operational or customer service skills acquired through education, experience or on the job training.

· Knowledge and application of systems: Operating system, MS Word, Excel and operating systems

· Application of organisational policies and procedures in alignment with Medical Schemes Act and any other applicable legislation.

· High level and cross functional specialised knowledge of the business

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (NOT NEGOTIABLE!)
BCur degree/ Registered Nurse
3 years clinical experience
Up to 5 years’ experience gained in a Healthcare and related environments
include demonstrated leadership - NB

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provide clinical and administrative support to the Legal and Corporate Governance department in attending to inter alia Council of Medical Schemes complaints and Non-Disclosure complaints
Legal and Corporate Governance functions as an independent and objective body responsible for filtering good corporate governance and ethical practices on all levels within the organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Detailed technical explanation of products, services or systems to internal or external customers or clients

· Detailed verbal or written instructions or requests to employees or contractors

· Formal reporting direct to Manager: Legal and Corporate Governance.

· Input into reporting.

· Staff communication on operational policies and procedures if deviations apply

· Medical Scheme Rules and Benefit Options to educate employees or assist with interpretation.

· Educate employees on regulatory and compliance matters and changes.

· Report potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, together with mitigation action plan to the Manager: Legal and Corporate Governance.

· Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the
initiation of investigative procedures.

· Facilitates Corporate Governance induction training for new employees.

· All ancillary functions and instructions related to the aforementioned.
