PACKAGE
3 Year contract (renewable)

Single and family contracts available.

Generous Tax free basic salary. Offered according to experience.

From 8300 QAR up to 15375 QAR per month. 15375 QAR = +/- 56300 South-African Rand / 4200 USD/ 3800 EUR/ 3300 GBP.

Free fully furnished accommodation provided.

Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary.

Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation.

For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).

40 days paid annual vacation days.

End of Service Award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:

BSc in Perfusion

OR

BSc plus one year diploma in Perfusion

OR

Bachelor of Science from Qatar University


LICENSE/REGISTRATION:

Valid Primary License from the country of origin if applicable AND should be eligible for license in the Qatar within the Supreme Council of Health.

EXPERIENCE:

5 yrs experience in specialism

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Fluent in English - Oral and Written.

JOB SPECIFICATION
Position Summary

To provide a high standard of perfusion services for patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery or during any other clinical procedures where necessary to support or replace the patient cardiopulmonary/circulatory Functions.

Common Responsibilities

The operation, calibration and maintenance of all perfusion equipment used during Cardiac surgery under the management of the chief perfusionist.

Specific Responsibilities

To prepare and set up the heart-lung machine for perfusion techniques including cardiopulmonary bypass, intra aortic balloon pumping, cell salvage and other aspects of perfusion during cardiac surgery or Other clinical procedures for both routine and emergency situations.
To run the heart-lung machine safely and in accordance with the department policy.
To setup and operate Intra ortic Balloon counter Pulsation System.
To calibrate and perform routine maintenance of blood gas and electrolyte machines.
To maintain accurate documentation of all clinical procedures for the purposes of legal, audit, education and research.
To take part in the training of new trainee or other staff.
Participation in on call duties.
To participate in the department academic activities and keep up to date with the perfusion technology.
Perform any other duties at the request of the chief Perfusionist or the department head.
