Requirements

Must have MSC degree and clinical experience
Pharmacy degree
3-5 years practical clinical experience in the critical outputs
Current registration with South African Pharmacy Council as a Pharmacist
Understanding of Pharmacy and related healthcare industry, legislation, regulation and challenges
Pharmaceutical product knowledge
Computer proficiency (Microsoft office)

Responsibilities

Effective medication safety management
participate in incident investigation in the hospital to identify root causes and corrective action
implement all quality initiatives as identified
Review all ICU prescriptions and monitor all ICU patients to ensure effective and safe drug theropy and provide feedback and advice to healthcare team
Ensure compliance with the SAPC, DOH, and LHC legal and professional standards
Effective asset management
Participate in achieving stock targets
