Top Metal Manufacturing company seeks a CNC Machine Programmer / Setter. Correctly program and setup the CNC milling machines, lathes and jigs. Ensure the operator can produce components right first time, without scrap.

* Specific expertise in programming and setting Femco, Takisawa and Daewoo Turning Centres
* Specific expertise in programming and setting Wintec, Leadwell and Daewoo Machining centres - 3 and 4 axis
* 5 years post Apprenticeship on CNC lathes and mills
* Strong ability to program CNC machines
* Ability to work with very tight tolerances

What the person must be able to do:
This role is in the Metal Machining sector. All duties would take place in this context:

* Setup machines to very tight tolerances
* Create and Optimise CNC programs to create complex parts on 3 and 4 axis machines
* Develop workholding and select cutting tools
* Optimise current programs to improve efficiencies and reduce scrap
* Create and setup permanent and ad-hoc jigs
* Setup a scrap reduction program to get scrap to less than 1%

* Jig Setup - Ad-hoc and Permanent

Background work experience
* 5 years post Apprenticeship on CNC lathes and mills
* Specific expertise in programming and setting Femco, Takisawa and Daewoo Turning Centres
* Specific expertise in programming and setting Wintec, Leadwell and Daewoo Machining centres - 3 and 4 axis
* Ability to write new CNC programs
* Expertise in complex CNC machine programming
* Trade Test - Turner Machinist (Must have a copy of certificate)
* Deep expertise in setting both CNC Lathes and Mills
* Jig Design and Setup
* Adv: Exposure to CAD Software

Salary: Market Related. In the Range of 240k to 360K per annum. Highly exceptional more senior candidates may be considered.
