Experience of working with and on CNC Milling Machines and Lathes
• Aware of, and adhere to safe working practices as dictated by the Company and with specific reference to local and domestic Health & Safety Regulations
• Understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and of Hydraulic and Pneumatic circuitry
• Able to read and understand Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic drawings and diagrams
• Able to carry out (as a priority) fault finding work, repairs, general service work and machine installations as required
• Computer literate
• Sufficient mobility and ability to move freely around a machine Tool including working from the top, bottom sides, below or, where necessary inside a machine dependent upon the machine size and model in question and according to Health & Safety Regulations
• Ability to lift weights within a specified safety limit, up to 25kg or whatever specified as a maximum by Health & Safety regulations
• Sufficient dexterity and strength to use normal hand tools including spanners, screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, etc. and any other such other equipment normally carried by a Machine Tool Service Engineer
• Ability and strength to tighten and loosening Nuts, Bolts, Brackets, Screws, etc. to normal common Machine Tool and General Engineering standards or as stipulated by known torque settings
• Ability and strength to remove and fit auxiliary equipment such as Chucks, Rotary Tables tool Holders and Tooling, including the feeding of electrical and/or pneumatic cabling and any other such auxiliary equipment commonly supplied with a Machine Tool, within Health & Safety Regulations and using safe working practices
