An exciting position for a CNC Operator/Machine Operator exists with one of our clients in Boksburg.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Provide the work material and documentation to accomplish the manufacturing targets.

Performs essential duties to implement production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; providing the work material and documentation to accomplish the manufacturing targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure that scheduled production targets are communicated and achieved-arrangement of shifts/overtime.
• Ensure that the targets are in line with the overall strategy of the Company
• Ensuring that sufficient stock and documentation such as drawings are available for the cell to achieve desired targets.
• Responsible for safe starting, running and stopping of CNC machines.
• Maintain proper housekeeping standards and comply with all SHE requirements.
• Ensure that all risks in the responsible area are identified and communicated timeously.
• Responsible for planning of daily tasks prior to the starting of the shift.
• Schedule employees and close the resource gap where necessary
• Identify staff that you will not need before shift starts, due to the breakages and material shortages
• Actively participate in Level 2 Meetings, Mini business and small group activities and safety talks.
• Partake in training of new personnel, contracting of workers to achieve a common goal.
• Facilitate the implementation of all the key lean manufacturing principles.
• Troubleshoot and set CNC machining processes according to product specification.
• Facilitate discipline of the team.

Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum of N6 or a Technical Diploma
• CNC Operator or Setter Operator experience of 5 Years
• Must have CAD/ CAM
• Experience and knowledge of a machining manufacturing environment.
• Qualified Fitter and Turner with Red Seal is an added advantage
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Understanding of CNC machining methods and ability to produce precision components
• Computer skills
• English Language Proficiency
• Mechanical Engineering aptitude

• Skills in operating CNC machinery, tooling as well as precision measurement
