ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Operational management

• Coding Facilitation
? Establish coding clubs as extra curricula programme in project schools
? Train teachers on coding and support them during training of their learners
? Deliver lessons professionally and effectively to meet desired learning objectives
? Ensure the coding practices comply with recognized standards.
? Maintain the current coding system and propose ways to enhance overall performance.
? Encourage teachers to relate to learners about their personal aspirations, college and career options, and skills for success in school and life.
? Develop course materials (coding training plan, activities and notes) to teaching and training where necessary
• General
? Assist teachers to establish Peer Learning Groups ; Communities of Practice and use social media platforms for communication and sharing purposes
? Liaise with other facilitators and attend any scheduled training sessions
? Issue and submit feedback evaluation forms in training to project coordinator as well as to administrators for capturing
? Participate in and contribute to STEM project team meetings, planning and reporting processes;
? Develop and maintain a constructive, committed and effective team dynamic;


Database management

? Ensure that project teachers complete and submit profile forms
? Ensure that project teachers complete and submit SACE registers

Customer relations

• Establish and maintain sound relationships with the schools and district officials;

• Represent the organisation in external events, seminars and meetings;

• Manage relationships with teachers and other stakeholders in a constructive and collegial manner

The successful candidate should have the following attributes:

? Experience in coding or programming in at least two or more of the following
• Robotics
• Visual programming
• C, C# or C++
• Java and/or JavaScript
• Python
? Experience in coding microcontrollers e.g. Raspberry Pi, Arduino Uno, Micro: bit, Bee-bot etc.
? Qualifications related to STEM education

? Proven record of working well with people in a team;

? Good organizational and report writing skills;
