Sales (Business Development) Manager – [CA(SA) / CIMA / ACCA]

We are urgently seeking an ambitious, qualified, entreprenuerial accountant to help with the continued success, and to further the exponential growth of our clients product offering. The ideal candidate would be a professional individual who has a commercial background (in accounting and finance) before moving into a business development or sales related role. You will have strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and be a collaborative team player with a hunger for business growth

Reporting to the National Sales Director and MD, the core purpose of this position is to prepare, co-ordinate and drive business development functions for the company as well as to develop and maintain long-term mutually trusting and profitable relationships with new target and existing key accounts. Additionally, you will interact with clients and customers and manage all stakeholder relationships.


You will have the following Qualifications and Experience

• Degree/Diploma in Finance or Accounting
• Preferably qualified (or part qualified) CA(SA) / CIMA / ACCA
• Additional qualification in business / accounting or related would be a bonus.
• Ability to use and collate data to produce valuable and insightful reports in Excel.
• Understand various business processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise.
• The ability to compile, analyse and interpret financial, analytical and other reports.
• Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively work with various departments and stakeholders across multiple level.
• A strong personality – able to challenge the status quo, manage a complex environment with a lot of different stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and remain highly productive in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in developing & negotiating new sales / business development opportunities
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Power Point
• Drivers Licence is a must



Key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
• Budget Forecast planning & management
• Pricing and Profitability analysis
• You will interact with all strategic partners offering support with financial modelling, analysis of trends and suitable solution offerings.
• Customer Relations: Deal on a professional level as to enhance the perceived value of the company
• New Business Development: Continuously trying to increase market share and customer base
• Maintain excellent relations between the company and customer base
• Achieve budgets and profit targets by servicing and growing existing accounts and establishing new accounts
• Monitor competition in respect of marketplace information.
• Assist in developing new products, recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
• Sales Planning: Plan effectively to maximise time in front of customers negotiating

Successful incumbent will primarily be based in Cape Town, Western Cape.
