A leading company within the Information and communications technology space is urgently recruiting for a suitably qualified and experienced Commercial Manager who will be responsible for delivering strategic commercial direction for projects and categories from concept through specification, contract and procurement, design, delivery, verification and operational support.

You will satisfy the following minimum criteria:

• Bachelors’ degree (in Finance, Business Management, Law or similar)
• Management Experience in different environments
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience within the commercial/contracts space
• Ability to communicate effectively and to influence others both internally and externally up to Managing Director level through presentations, negotiation and written reports.
• Experience in preparing, reviewing and agreeing Contract terms and conditions and commercial schedules.


Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Manage enhancement activity and deliver value through: Supplier Relationship Management; and the development and delivery of commercial best practice, processes, governance, guidance and tools.
• Drive continuous improvement of commercial processes through refining contract formulation activities, systems and procedures
• Work with Finance to ensure adherence to broader finance and risk requirements such as revenue recognition, pricing and discounting policies, export controls etc.
• Your role will include 'financial engineering' and understanding / evaluating economic impact of terms and term options.

Location: Successful incumbent will primarily be based in Cape Town.
