Commercial Director.

World Class 5* Game Lodge Group - Sandton - JHB.

The Commercial Director will support the CEO in developing, implementing and reviewing the Company and all it’s SBU’s future strategy.

Key Focus Areas

• Ensure controls are in place to protect the assets of the Company;

• Make decisions to simultaneously look for efficiency for growth of profitability & to support a light, maneuverable & committed executive team;

• Provide relevant financial information to the CEO & Executive Management to keep them informed yet not burdened by an overly complex reporting procedure;

• Assist on modelling for the future to understand the impact of new projects & assist in directing the Executive in delivering to the Company Purpose & profitability;

• Assist new business units with their financial & accounting requirements & support the management with training to ensure we work towards a financially literate leadership team;

• To help build the Company’s offshore operations & revenue streams;

• To ensure the legal compliance of the Company’s business units & guide the Executive Management in all legal aspects of business;

• Assist with acquisitions for the group as well as ensuring all legal contracts are up to date & in order;

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

• Technical Knowledge needed to perform this role

• Knowledge of how to manage a finance function within a national and international environment

• Progressively responsible experience for a medium size company or division of a large corporation

• Experience in partnering with an executive team

• Experience building and leading a Financial department

• Experience in Legal aspects of doing business within South Africa or Southern Africa

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent business/industry experience

Salary R150 000 - R 200 000 including company benefits.
