Description:

Commission, diagnose complex faults and repairs on Protection / Metering / SCADA / DC Systems
Independently maintain, commission, diagnose complex faults and repairs on Protection / Metering / SCADA / DC Systems
execute project outcomes efficiently and effectively.
Manaing the flow of information and documentation between the Design Engineers, Project Engineers, System Control Engineers and Commissioning Team Leader.
Commission new and existing Protection, Metering, DC or SCADA installations where required
Install and commission discipline specific equipment ( protection /SCADA /metering / DC ) on a scheduled basis as allocated by the Head of the Department.
Assist with maintenance and fault finding on Protection, Metering, DC or SCADA installations where required.
Apply fault finding techniques as well as innovative ideas, logic and novel approaches to commission specific equipment to functional status.
Undertake Site Acceptance Testing test results to be in accordance with the Company standards, procedures, directives, work practice, guidelines and policies
Manage projects in the specialist field of expertise
Administer and maintain an accurate filing system in relation to project commissioning.
Ensure quality and accuracy of Site Acceptance documentation.
Designs: To ensure that as commissioned, drawings are updated to site specifics
Lead and manage employees in coaching, mentorship and development.
Ensure operating costs are in balance with expected outcome thereof
Adhering to project budgets

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum requirement: 4 yrs relevant industry exp N Dip or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
MUST be registered as an Engineering Technician with ECSA
Preferred: 2 yrs relevant industry experience with a B Tech degree
MUST be registered as an Engineering Technologist with ECSA
Must have Project Management and Risk Management knowledge
