The world’s leading medical & security services company operating from over 700 sites in 76 countries with 10,000 employees, led by 1,100 physicians and 200 security specialists is currently looking for a Customer Communication and Sales Support Manager who will provide coordinated marketing support for the Sales team and other business functions as required in South Africa, working closely with the General Manager Sales and Marketing EEMEA and Head of Sales and Marketing and the Group Marketing Leadership team to further the company’s business objectives and achieve the company’s sales targets as well as ensuring brand integrity and growth

Key performance areas

The Customer Communication and Sales Support Manager will be responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing and communication strategies that support Intl. SOS’s sales strategies and efforts in South Africa, including raising awareness of and appropriately positioning the company brand and products and services in the market and launching new products and services. To that end the Customer Communication and Sales Support Manager will create and implement specific marketing and communications plans. Client events will be a key part of these plans and so events marketing skills and experience are essential.

In alignment with Group Marketing guidelines and standards, the Customer Communication and Sales Support Manager will be responsible for the development of marketing and communication collateral including brochures, flyers, sales presentation materials, scripts, end-user brochures/flyers, Web content and other sales tools/materials that will support the company’s go to market strategy in South Africa.

The Customer Communication and Sales Support Manager will work closely with the HR Manager to develop and implement an internal employee communication strategy aimed at promoting an environment of information sharing and trust within South Africa, creating bi-directional communication channels which are accessible to all employees and developing employees to become knowledgeable brand ambassadors.

ACQUISITION AND RETENTION
• Develop and implement sales promotion programmes to increase product/service penetration in appropriate market segments, increase sales volumes and exceed sales targets.
• Develop and implement a lead generation program that will support the company’s new business development though obvious lead strategies as well as through market research.
• Manage the entire process for successful new and existing product launches by understanding the sales product and services roadmap.
• Develop marketing communications, marketing programmes and sales tools for new and existing product launches.

CORPORATE IDENTITY CUSTODIAN
• Development of marketing and communication collateral for the sales team, clients and media in both printed and electronic medium or as requested.
• Coordinate the fulfillment of marketing and communication materials for market needs.
• Facilitate the development of customer relationship management collateral (printed and electronic) to support sales and to improve the renewal process.
• Liaise with the EEMEA region to ensure local collateral aligns with the CI.
• Investigate the options around sharing design works and exploring cost effective options.
• Project manage the delivery within the agreed timelines for collateral to be produced with any external supplier or stakeholder.
• Creation and offering of ideas and solutions to new initiatives.

CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION
• Understand the country Sales plans for each financial year and the support requirement from Marketing and develop an appropriate marketing and communication plan.
• Develop, maintain and evolve appropriate multi-media sales and marketing collateral to support the sales team in developing professional written documents (e.g. proposals, presentations, business cases) and conducting professional presentations for both new and existing customers
• The creation of a customer engagement plan and strategy is a clear deliverable of this role.
• Focal person for handling and dealing with PR for any marketing and communication activities in South Africa in conjunction with the regional marketing team.
• Manage and update competitor analyses and data in conjunction with the Sales team and assist with research into new opportunities.
• Develop sales tools to help the sales team sell against competitors by offering differentiation.
• Co-ordinate customer satisfaction surveys as required and work with the Sales team to develop appropriate action plans and initiatives based on the customer insights generated.

STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIP
• Develop appropriately structured communications and sales tools that help the sales team to logically and comprehensibly communicate and effectively sell the value proposition of products to new and existing clients and other relevant stakeholders.
• Identify and establish relationships to create association marketing channels.
• Support the development and usage of value-adding reports for clients that enhance the Sales team’s interactions with clients and drives increased loyalty.
• Communicate with key business areas and suppliers with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of an organization

REPORTING AND ADMINSTRATION
• Provide writing support for individual projects related to selected business functions as needed.
• Manage and coordinate the roll-out of new product and services launches as applicable
• Develop reporting tools and project trackers / plans to ensure projects are completed on strategy, on quality, on time and within budget.
• Proactively manage projects in support of multiple client bases.
• Travel as necessary to industry events and meetings with key business owners.

Education, Training and Experience
• At least 5 years of marketing management and marketing communications experience in a services industry and/or for a multi-national company
• Experience working in a marketing role within a professional services business is preferable
• Have direct experience in new product/service marketing and launch plans
• Experience in sales and/or dealing with a Sales team in the capacity of training or communications will be considered
• Degree in Business with specialisation in Marketing and Communications
