The Communications Manager will support internal communication needs including executing on communication plans, defining and reinforcing strategic direction and ad-hoc communication needs.

Your key job responsibilities as the Communications Manager in Cape Town will include:

- Lead key internal communications activities to drive ongoing awareness and understanding of the priorities of the organization
- Manage planning and execution of quick-turn, opportunistic communications for internal audiences covering events, business milestone achievements and wins, including managing confidential and sensitive issues
- Provide recommendations and influence decisions to address communications needs. Build trust and respect for communications function across the organization
- Foster strong, collaborative working relationships with key leaders and partners, and reflect their priorities in both ongoing and opportunistic communication programs and events
- Provide direction and mentorship for communication stakeholders and partners to align to the communications strategy and best practices to meet the requirements of the organization

Requirements for this Communications Manager job in Cape Town:

- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or other related discipline
- Advanced degree in communications, marketing or business (MBA) preferred
- 7+ years of internal communications experience within a matrix organization
- 5+ years of professional writing and editing experience
- 3+ years of Organizational Change Management experience
- Excellent writing / editing and verbal communication skills
- Relationship builder with the flexibility and finesse to 'manage by influence'
- Driven by compassion, empathy and an ability to care about and connect deeply with others
- Design-led thinking and ability to build from the ground up.
